Who We Are
Shoestring Players is an unincorporated, not-for-profit organization, commonly referred to as Shoestring. Since 1964, Shoestring has been committed to bringing quality live theatre to our community, exploring everything from children’s theatre, pantomime, and melodrama to festivals, adaptations, and full-length productions.
Shoestring's day-to-day operations are handled by a Board of volunteers, acting on behalf of our membership.
Mission
Our purpose is to provide community benefit by producing and performing live theatre for audiences in Manitoba.
We are also committed to creating opportunities for talent development in the dramatic arts, especially — though not exclusively — for non-professionals. When finances and opportunities allow, we are proud to support local philanthropic causes through our work.
Small but mighty, Shoestring remains committed to bringing creativity, connection, and quality live theatre to Manitoba audiences.
